I had never been to an all in One shop before till I stepped into the Cool Fashion House! The Cool Fashion House is a combination of ‘Three in One’, with Mrs. Kate Kukoyi, who is also the fashion designer for brand ‘MeeAfrik Couture’ at its helm.

I’ll break it down, there are three fashion-inspired houses in the Cool Fashion House, the first, in no particular order, is the MeeAfrik Couture, which deals solely in fashion designing and tailoring. The second is ‘ShopAllYouWant’ a boutique which offers so many fashionable pieces for both men and women, from clothings to accessories. While the third is the fashion school aimed at training budding fashion designers/tailors to be.
Mrs. Kate’s passion for dressing both Nigerian ladies and men pushed her to establishing a fashion house which meets the needs of both clothes shoppers and clients in search of quality.
I have met Kate and I must say that she’s talented, she has made many of my clothes and I have shopped from her boutique as well. I am really impressed with Kate’s creativity and with her designs which I must say, are quite affordable as you can make and purchase clothes from the Cool Fashion house without breaking the bank. *I’ll tell you guys a secret…’the gold sequin dress I wore in my profile image on the right side of the blog-site was designed and tailored by her…cool right?*

On the reasons she merged both a boutique and a fashion house together, here’s what she says;
“I love designing and transforming fabrics but I found out that people also love the ‘all ready made clothing’ so, I started a boutique section within my fashion house. Soon, people had flooded in, ready to buy clothings as they found out that they were affordable and nice, so I thought to myself, ‘why don’t I expand this?’ and I did. Now, we have the Cool Fashion House and I am so excited to see my dreams turn to reality.”
On her Fashion house,
“I have always been drawn to designing clothes right from childhood and after graduating, I found that I couldn’t find a tailor who could interprete style the way I wanted, so I started trying out tailoring by making my own clothes. I decided to enrol into fashion school and there I learnt a whole lot about the body shape and clothes that fit different body types. My clients love how I transform their fabrics and I love seeing smiles on their faces.”

On the 1st of October, The Cool Fashion House will be opening for business with a mini soiree and an afternoon of shopping and mingling. I’ll be there, perched at a corner, eating small chops, sipping cocktails and shopping too…
I hope to see you guys there too.

  1. I am so proud of Kate, all glory to God to see her dreams come true, I live in canada and I don't trust anyone else to make my clothes for me except Kate, ppl here love kate's designs, they are always on point. I just tell the occasion I need it for and she hooks me up with something fabulous! Great job Kate!

    • Wow! That's really cool. Kate makes most of my clothes as well, people hardly know they are made by a Nigerian tailor/designer unless I tell them. She's really good at what she does.
      Thanks for the comment Dana!
